Accumula is a revenue-funded SaaS start-up that helps retailers build stronger relationships with their customers. We have a growing user base spread across 17 countries and constantly test higher markets. We all wear multiple hats. No boredom here, our workload comes in digestible, “winable” chunks split nicely between established products and exciting new opportunities.
We work with a combination of proven and emerging technologies, organizing ourselves using agile methods that emphasize teamwork and responsibility. Our team is lean and nimble, focused on continuous improvement of both our products and ourselves.
We’re not quite big data, but we’re moving in that direction. We are already extremely high volume (over half a billion requests served last week) with 24/7/365 availability goals for our service offerings.

Engineering at Accumula
We work on a two week sprint cycle, using the Scrum agile methodology. This begins with a Kickoff meeting, and ends at the next Kickoff, when we give the team a little retrospective on how the last sprint went. We deploy weekly, and encourage our engineers to try and complete small chunks of work instead of large projects. We use Bitbucket to manage our codebase, and operate using Pull Requests. We encourage all of our developers to write Unit and Feature tests whenever possible.
We regularly face technical challenges from managing data across multiple third-party platforms, as well the data integration challenges between those systems. It is never a dull day, and always full of challenges that require an engineer to put their thinking cap on to tackle
