Actiondesk
Actiondesk lets individuals within companies easily access, explore and analyze all their data in a spreadsheet interface. We connect to dozens of various data sources. It's as easy to use as a spreadsheet, as powerful as a BI tool.
Why join us?
Actiondesk is a hard product to build. There are many technical challenges on the frontend (building a spreadsheet) and on the backend (building what's essentially an ETL tool).
We have raised over $3m from top investors, including Y Combinator, Bling Capital and Tiger Global.
The market is massive, we already have over 3,000 companies on our waitlist. (We got +1,800 upvotes on our Product Hunt launch)
Engineering at Actiondesk
We work with 6 weeks cycle with an overarching objective. Each cycle is broken down into weekly sprint. Each sprint has a planning (very fast because we do grooming before), retro and demo. We do rigorous code reviews (through gitlab) We typically ship once a day.
Frontend: - Building a spreadsheet handling live data with significant volume (several 100k records to several millions)
Backend: - Connecting to dozens of various data sources - Handling data computation with good performance
You could work on improving the performance of current operations such as filter, sort or aggregations.
You could also work on building a SDK to enable external developers to connect their own APIs to Actiondesk.
On the frontend, you could work on solidifying our end to end tests. A spreadsheet is very flexible, and there's a real challenge in building solid end to end tests.
Working at Actiondesk
Here are our values: - No ego - Don’t chat: do and measure - Radical transparency - Own problems - Challenge everything - Playfullness
Ownership is probably the most important. We're hiring owners, people who will make sure the end result for our users is great, not people who are satisfied with a small defined scope and who don't care about the end result.

Flexible Hours
We care about productivity. My cofounder is a dad and will typically leave around 4.30pm and work again in the evenings. Most of us are in the office from 8.30 to 6pm. We're also flexible in terms of working from home, although we like to spend time together in the office.

Work from Home
Working from home 1 or 2 days a week is good for us.
