Engineering at AEye

Engineering team and processes

We use Agile Scrum for our product development. Our engineering team operates on one week cycles. Engineers plan for the activities for the week on Monday. They work with other engineers on design, development, integration and testing of features during the week. Then they demo the working features at the end of the week. Engineers report their daily progress/roadblocks during standup meeting and project manager helps them remove the roadblocks.

Technical Challenges

Building software that runs on embedded hardware (low compute, low memory) to capture, process and streams millions of points per second in our point cloud.
Building software that optimizes focusing laser to scan objects of interest in microseconds
Building deep learning and computer vision object detection, object tracking and motion forecasting models to enable 100% safe autonomous driving
