Role Description

You work on the cutting edge of technology and have extensive experience shipping digital products to customers. You’re used to working collaboratively with design, product, and engineering. You thrive in fast-paced, unstructured environments that require you to wear many hats and think on your feet. You’re excited about mentoring and growing junior members of the team. You’re independent, you lead by example, and you’re obsessed with building great products and teams.

The Role

We're seeking an experienced React developer to join our team.

You’ll be joining an excellent team of modern javascript engineers. You will work closely with our CTO and senior engineers to execute on our technical roadmap. You’ll be expected to hit the ground running, working hands-on with our front-end codebase. You will build features, review code, write tests, maintain infrastructure, and help define best practices.

We work almost entirely in Typescript. Our web app is built in React, mobile in React Native, and backend in Node. We’re built on AWS, so familiarity with their product suite is a major plus.

Your experience

  • 3+ years working on production applications with real-world users
  • Experience collaborating with designers, developers, and product managers
  • Experience managing and maintaining production infrastructure
  • A positive attitude, a sense of humor and a desire to build accessible products for all users
  • A strong background in the following:
    • React
    • Redux
    • Typescript
    • HTML/CSS
    • Git & Github
    • Bonus points if familiar or have experience with the following:
    • NextJS
    • React Native
    • Node.js
    • Webpack
    • AWS
    • Vercel, CircleCI
    • Figma

This position is remote-friendly but New York City is preferred.

We refer to the product as a “whiteboard for the creative process” because it immediately increases productivity for end users like brand marketing managers, content coordinators, and social media managers. Air’s wide range of customers reinforce the idea that the world is visually driven, and that all industries now depend on images and videos in everyday operations. Air is currently used by over 150 teams in consumer products, goods and services, sports, media, retail, and hospitality. At its core, Air believes every company needs a space to think visually.

Company Culture

We care deeply about learning new technologies and building great products for our users. We’re a team of designers, developers, artists, videographers, and friends who love answering problems together. We're fascinated by the power of video to transform and we want to increase everyone's ability to work with this medium. Our first year in business has been extremely fulfilling because we've had the opportunity to build long-lasting relationships with one another.
