Role Description

I'm James, the founder of AlgOcean Project (www.algocean.org). We are a project based on Algorand's Carbon-negative Blockchain with a vision for Ocean Conservation through partnerships with existing conservation efforts around the world, Gaming, NFTs, and Educational Programs.

We have a discord-based virtual fishing game, but we are currently looking to develop a full-scale mobile app game for both Android and iOS. If you're interested in working with our team, please let us know. It'll be a simulation based virtual fishing game and it will also have gacha elements among many other things. We're also going to link it with Algorand Wallet(crypto) and we do have some devs on our side that'll work with you on this.

If this is of an interest to you, please let me know. I would love to know what you are capable of developing (scope) and what areas your strengths are, and the areas that you'd need help in to develop this.

  1. Sea Creature Collection Gacha Element (As many sea creatures as possible with a minimum of 5 tiers of rarities). We currently have around 250 creatures created in our discord based game. So at least we can help with providing the creature list.

  2. Simulation Economy: We'd like to incorporate an idle-element where people can collect basic in-game gold. We would also love to integrate Algo (crypto) and our native token, AO which is built on Algorand as well onto the game (We do have 2 devs who can work with you on this). By the way, Algorand's tech is fast. Each transaction is fast (4 sec. finality) and cheap (0.001 Algo). So remember it is NOT ERC and there is so much we can do through Algorand's blockchain.

  3. A market for people to trade/buy/sell Sea Creatures that they have (in Algo or AO).

  4. Personalized Ocean Space for players to see their collection in real time (idea like the Abyssrium game). These are like personalized Aquariums and it'd be great if they can be made public for other people to see. Also since there are so many creatures and there will be a ton of dupes it'll be essential have options of storing/releasing creatures or to toggle on and off for viewing options.

  5. Friends, Community/Guild Aspect - much like many mobile games today. It would also be great to have events that'll use minigames/puzzles, etc (if this is too much we don't have to include it and add it later). Global Chat and map channels would be great too.

  6. Gameplay: Most of the game's worth would be in collecting myriads of sea creatures. They would have different tiers/rarities, randomized sizes, maybe even some 'shinies' with extremely low rates. However, I would love to add another layer of gameplay that people can do with the sea creatures they have. If your team has certain strengths in the gameplay style that you would suggest, we're open for ideas. Having daily/monthly quests and leaderboards for team/global would be neat too.

  7. We'd also like to have different maps/oceans where different fish will be caught in different places and ways to unlock, etc.

  8. Shop elements for various items, perks, etc.

Here's a game that I think was excellently done: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.idleif.abyssrium&hl=en_US&gl=US
