Role Description

AlphaFlow is heading into 2021 with $10 Million in Series A Funding, a brand new investing product, and plenty still to build. We've built a reputation among both lenders and investors as a reliable partner, maintaining industry-leading standards of transparency and speed. Our partnership has helped lenders grow their businesses and we've opened up the $75 billion fix-and-flip industry to a new class of investor.

Your role

We're currently a team of five engineers (soon to change as we’re actively recruiting for this position and a Sr. Backend Engineer too). Ideally we’re seeking a mid-to-senior level Frontend Engineer with 4+ years experience building modern, user-focused web applications. You should be comfortable with taking on vast ownership across the frontend. We are tackling challenging and complex problems, and need engineers who can operate well with some ambiguity. As a Frontend Engineer, you will work closely with the Design and Product team to collaborate on and impact how people and financial institutions exchange value.

Our frontends are built with React, SCSS for styling, and a shared component library adapted from Semantic UI. We use Recharts for data visualizations, React Spring for interaction animations, and Jest/Cypress for testing. You'll be working with RESTful APIs which we host on Google's Cloud Platform.

Get familiar with the team at AlphaFlow, share your expertise with teammates across disciplines and learn from your teammates too. Collaborate in product planning, learn about our long-term goals and the product roadmap. Own and deliver your first few features - your work will be in front of real users. And, find topics of interest that you’re passionate about as it relates to our frontend and the real estate industry.

In your first year at AlphaFlow, you will...

Drive your own initiatives in product development and the architecture of our frontends, take ownership for portions of the codebase. Iterate on your own work, learn from user behavior and research. Conduct interviews, help us add talent to the team, and support the new talent we identify by helping onboard them and setting them up for success. Build best-in-class financial products serving thousands of customers and handling hundreds of millions of dollars.
