Engineering at AltoIRA

Engineering team and processes

Our engineering team works in two week cycles. Each begins with a meeting to discuss what's being worked (Sprint Planning). Each Wednesday of a Sprint, we spend an hour grooming/estimating upcoming tickets (we use points which represent estimated time). Each team has their own dedicated product manager who they work directly with on solutions for their respective domain. We use the novel project management platform in conjunction with GitHub for managing reviews and task status. We utilize CI/CD for lower environments, with production requiring specialized deployment privileges because we operate in a regulated industry.

Technical Challenges

We're running two races: the first is the alternative investing race which is a marathon itself. The second is a 24/7/365 Le Mans of the Cryptocurrency/DeFi world. The incumbent industry operates at a snails pace, which is why our ability to move quickly inherently sets us apart from our competitors. As we define and automate strategies to gain efficiency in this industry we will continue to grow at a break-neck pace.
