Engineering at Aluna
Our engineering team currently operates on monthly sprints. We do weekly planning meetings, and manage tasks via Jira.
We're building Machine Learning for novel healthcare problems, often with little precedent. So it helps to be creative and have an innovative mindset. At the same time, we're trying to combine that with very effective and engaging UX that works across a range of ages, diseases, and stakeholders.
Improve our doctor dashboard, with better ui, better performance, and more useful graphs.
Build a scalable pipeline to collect range of data including measurements from our device, weather data, medication data, doctor labelling, into system that can be used for training, validation and prediction.
Add an achievement system to our mobile app that rewards patients for exploring our app, signing up with healthkit, taking a measurement everyday, etc

Company Retreats
Every time we hit a big milestone (usually quarterly or every 6 months) we have team building events. Examples spending a weekend skiing with free ski lessons, hanging out in an airbnb together with preplanned activities, etc

As long as you can make some basic meetings and get your work done, you can work whenever you want.

Work from Home
During covid we allow everyone to work from home 100%. During normal times we're flexible about you working from home but would want you to come in a couple days a week.

Relocation
For post covid times, we prefer you work in the same office/location as us and we will provide relocation payment if you aren't already in the San Francisco bay area.
