The AMP Cortex™ high-speed robotics system automates the identification and sorting of recyclables from mixed material streams. The AMP Neuron™ AI platform uses computer vision and machine learning to continuously train itself by recognizing different colors, textures, shapes, sizes, patterns, and even brand labels to identify materials and their recyclability. Neuron then guides industrial robots to consistently perform sorting tasks more than twice as quickly as humanly possible, and with much greater accuracy. The AI platform also creates data transparency and insights on waste characterization and operational performance so recycling facilities can optimize their business and extract the most value from the material stream.
Why join us?
AMP Robotics received Series A funding, led by Sequoia Capital, in 2019, and we’re growing! In the second and third quarters of 2020, we plan to hire up to 12 new team members across our software and hardware engineering teams, in addition to other positions across the business. We’re focused on the long term and recognize that the success of our technology can help to address very meaningful challenges in the recycling industry, ultimately making it more efficient and sustainable. We’re looking for top talent to help us accelerate our trajectory, build a strong company and achieve our mission.
Fast Company named AMP to its annual list of the “World’s Most Innovative Companies” for 2020 (https://www.fastcompany.com/90457897/robotics-most-innovative-companies-2020). It’s a testament to the tireless work of our team to maximize the value of recycling, and also demonstrates the outsized impact we’re already having. At AMP, you can build a career in an environment where you’re encouraged to explore and propose new ideas, and where you can quickly see the results of your efforts and how they influence the company’s growth and outcomes.
We’re committed to helping the industry adapt to a changing world and provide essential recycling services while prioritizing the health and safety of employees, families and communities. COVID-19 has compounded the challenges our industry faces everyday — workplace safety, labor shortages, sudden changes in material streams, contamination, and volatile commodity markets. Automation is helping facilities remain fully operational, control costs, and navigate sudden changes in material volumes and types, all while recovering high volumes of recyclables to take advantage of demand pricing. Recent media coverage (https://www.amprobotics.com/articles) and our Customer Resource Center (https://www.amprobotics.com/covid-19-updates) help illustrate how AMP is helping the industry adapt and maintain operations in a challenging environment.
