We’re looking for a Data Engineer to help bring v1 of our product to market – and beyond.
In this role, you’ll get to build the platform from which all insights are derived. You’ll knit together a variety of data sources and create tools for analysts and clients to better understand their businesses and competitors. If you are obsessed with how data informs product & marketing decisions this is the role for you.
Who You Are You have proven the ability to take a product from concept to launch, working cross-functionally with engineering, analytics, and revenue to create something that matters. You’re craving the intense, rewarding experience of building a tool that positively influences everything we watch, buy, and listen to from the ground up. You love data – and enjoy pushing the boundaries of what insights can be extracted out of data. Proficient in Python / Django. Proficient in PostgreSQL. Proficient building business intelligence tools (e.g. Looker, Redash, Periscope). Familiar with database technologies such as Google BigQuery, Kubernetes, and Docker. Strong background in distributed data processing, software engineering design, and data modeling concepts . ~3+ years of experience building complex data pipelines and products. English proficiency.
What You’ll Do Create reliable data pipelines and build intuitive data products that allow our Data Analysts and Data Scientists to easily leverage data in a self-service manner. Design, build, and deploy streaming and batch data pipelines capable of processing and storing data quickly and reliably. Integrate with a variety of data sources such as email receipt data, credit card data, and more. Ensure data quality and build tools to detect and alert our team of any anomalies. Integrate custom metrics and cohorts created by the Data Science team into our schema. Maintain an efficient data infrastructure.
