We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our growing engineering team. Our charge is to cleanly ingest new sources of data, build robust signal transformation pipelines, and provide decision support and analytics tools to our stakeholders and customers. The team collaborates closely with data scientists, analysts, customer success managers, and leadership using a cross-discipline approach to give engineers a deep connection to the problems that they are solving. We believe that with the right blend of empathy for our stakeholders, commitment to building software the right way, curiosity to ask questions and experiment, and humility, we might just be able to achieve our goals.
This role is fully remote, with optional quarterly in-person collaboration.
What you'll do:
Create reliable and reproducible data pipelines that are the backbone of our customer insight generation and modeling tools
Design reusable patterns for cloud infrastructure that are deployed and tested with CI/CD pipelines
Construct streaming data pipelines capable of efficiently processing large tracts of data and storing it for multiple downstream uses
Ensure high data quality and to detect and alert our team of any anomalies
We’re looking for:
- You love data – and enjoy pushing the boundaries of what insights can be gleaned from it
- Proven track record of strong leadership in upholding software engineering best practices including hands-on coding, leading team code reviews, error handling, and testing
- Proven track record of applying creative solutions to technical issues or opportunities
- Energized by mentoring, coaching, and managing other engineers, and have examples of leadership experience
- Strong background in distributed data processing, software engineering design, and data modeling concepts
