Role Description

Do you want to bring design, architecture and coding skills into building solutions using a modern services platform to serve an array of consumer facing applications including a high traffic website?

We're looking for a Java Engineer (Java and Spring Framework) to work on our applications, services and data pipelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Deliver new business functionalities, by designing and implementing high quality services. Design for extensibility, scalability, concurrency-using best in class architectural patterns and design principles. Work closely with stakeholders including product owners to define and articulate project technical requirements. Raise the bar by bringing innovative solutions to problems using a data driven approach.

REQUIREMENTS: 5+ years of experience building highly performant, scalable, concurrent, Java based applications and services. Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math or relevant fields. Extensive hands-on experience with proficiency in Java (or Scala / Go) and expertise building modern Spring applications with Spring Boot. Solid understanding of data structures and algorithm fundamentals. Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies and continuous delivery principles. Strong customer focus, excellent problem solving and analytical skills. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, iterative development environment.

Nice to Have Experience using Search technology such as Elastic or Solr. Exposure in database SQL and NoSQL like MongoDB, Redis, and Cassandra. Good knowledge of building cloud aware applications, cloud service and deployment models. Agile development methodologies experience, extreme programming, test driven development, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and related techniques. Experience with data engineering and machine learning preferred.
