Asana is a web and mobile application that helps teams track their work by using tasks, projects, conversations, and dashboards. Our mission is to help people thrive by enabling teams to work together effortlessly. This drives who we are and everything we do.
Why join us?
We're one of the fastest-growing SaaS companies ever, and our potential market is huge — Millions of users and 50,000 paying customers in 194 countries rely on Asana, including Spotify, Airbnb, Disney, and Air France KLM. Internally, we use our own product exclusively to facilitate our award-winning culture of full transparency and shared responsibility.
We have a superb team — Prior to Asana, our CEO Dustin co-founded Facebook and was a key leader within the technical staff, first in the position of CTO and then later as VP of Engineering. Justin, our other co-founder, met Dustin at Facebook and also worked at Google. He was the co-inventor of the Like Button, Facebook Pages, Gmail Chat, and Google Drive. Today, our own team of 350+ includes alumni from Facebook, Google, Apple, Amazon, and more. If you join us, you'll be working with some of the best minds in the world.
We highly values diversity and inclusion — We really care about providing a hiring and working experience that makes everyone feel valued and included, regardless of gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, age, or citizenship. To this end, we've created several internal groups that help foster a feeling of belonging. They include Gradient, a community for people of color and allies at Asana, and AsanaWomen, which provides women with a platform to celebrate their talents. Engineering at Asana
We have five primary teams at Asana:
Web Product — The Web Product team does full stack work on all parts of the Asana application that our users interact with, from the core of the feature to the UI displaying it.
Mobile —The Mobile team’s mission is to allow anyone to access Asana anywhere, anytime, on their mobile device or tablet. They work on cross-platform launches, mobile-specific features like offline, and widgets across iOS and Android.
Platform— The Platform team empowers customers and developers to leverage Asana far beyond its most apparent use cases. They focus on improving our API, building API product features, and building integrations with third-party apps.
Infrastructure —The Infrastructure team at Asana is responsible for building systems and operating them to efficiently store, process, and serve Asana for teams of all sizes.
Data Science — The Asana Data Science team partners with practically every team in the organization to ensure they make data-driven decisions that lead to the growth and improvement of our product and business.
All initiatives have exactly one directly responsible individual because we believe that we emerge as leaders through accountability and empowerment, not better titles. Together, we organize our work into sprints and episodes to plan what’s next during Roadmap Week. Asana is the primary tool we use to collaborate. We use it to share product ideas, plan sprints, and enjoy the fruits of our labor with every push.
