Engineering at AutoFi

Engineering team and processes

Our teams are organized in pods that include Business lead (reporting into the CEO), Product Manager, Designer (when required), Engineering, Dealer/customer support (when required), QA

The leadership team lays out the strategic vision and goals for the year. That gets translated into quarterly plans (with input from everyone in the company) and OKRs. Everyone and every team is aligned to one or more OKRs.

The team plans the quarter to deliver the OKRs. They run bi-weekly sprints starting with planning on Mondays. Each team also organizes weekly retrospectives to learn and improve. PM / Designers organizes story/product brainstorm sessions as required.

We use GitHub PR for code reviews. Every PR requires two +1s to be merged into master. Every check-in requires an appropriate level of code-coverage unit as well as client-side tests. The PR needs to pass our automated test suite before it gets deployed into production.

Technical Challenges
  • Delivering financial calculations at cloud scale to millions of consumers.
  • Building consumer experiences that scale across hundreds of thousands of vehicles in AutoFi's inventory.
Projects you might work on
  • You would get the chance to impact the core product as well as experimental projects. Our product, although white-labeled, is viewed by millions of car buyers.
