    • We hold monthly hackathons. Everyone in the company — not just engineers — is encouraged to pitch and implement ideas that believe will make the Autolist experience better for users.

As a small but growing team, we are constantly iterating on our structure and process. We conduct stand-ups every morning, team-wide Planning each week, and a thoughtful Retrospective meeting at the end of the week. Our agile philosophy enables us to ship code to production almost every day - even for our mobile apps. We believe pair programming, mentorship, code reviews, continuing education, and group learning are best for maximizing our output.

Technical Challenges

Intelligent marketplace: Thoughtful application of logic, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to optimize and guide the Autolist market.

Scale: Thousands of vehicles are bought and sold each hour in the US. Having accurate, up-to-date data about vehicles is crucial for an effective marketplace. Millions of users are buying and selling cars online each day. To keep up with it all, Autolist technology often processes 37K+ transactions per second of updates to its databases, and our share of users is growing rapidly.

Security: Trust is crucial for any marketplace. From data accuracy and quality to user data and transactions; our whole platform requires seamless security to earn the trust and business of our users and partners.

Invisible tech: Remove the mental burdens of our users and partners. Focus on providing value, and avoid clutter. Never make a user or partner wait. Be secure without making the user jump through hoops.
