We're SaaS to let advertisers connect directly to ad exchanges to participate in real-time ad auctions. In the same way Ameritrade and other internet brokers made it much easier for people to trade stocks, we make it much easier for advertisers to advertise online via our APIs.
We deal with massive scale: 1-2 million queries per second flow into our system and our tail latency is ~20ms. At our transaction volumes we regularly deal with scaling challenges as our tech grows and evolves. To manage the firehose of data coming in, we explore complex tradeoffs and carefully architect high performance distributed systems.
Our founders are three ex-Googlers who worked together in this domain. We’re well funded by leading VCs, such as RRE and Foundry Group. We've doubled our revenue and team the past two years and are on track to do it again in 2019.
We're a software first company. It's the core of what we do and what we sell.
We plan in one week cycles and have a culture of writing design docs for major features. All code going into production is code reviewed (using Github PRs) and we deploy whenever we need to. We focus on maintainability and run tests on every checkin using CI.
We have to deal with massive scale - over 1 million queries per second which we have to filter and direct to the appropriate servers. Then we have to augment the data by querying extremely high performance caches (since we only have ~20ms). We then have to manage a reporting pipeline that tracks and records huge numbers of events.
Adding geotargeting capability to our systems. Everything from how do users give us geo data via our API to how do we quickly index on an arbitrary set of polygons to setting up reporting to understand geo polygons and targeting.
