We're building software to improve the experience of applying for a mortgage. We're attacking both sides of this problem by making it easy for both financial institutions to manage their mortgage portfolio and borrowers to apply for mortgages.

This is solving an important problem for both sides. Most banks and lenders today use software that is 20-30 years old, often they just use Excel spreadsheets. For borrowers, applying for a mortgage and buying a house is one most stressful events in your life. This experience is long overdue an upgrade.

We're working with lenders who represent some of the largest banks in the country — These types of deals are normally not possible for startups of our size, but we've been able to do it. We recently signed exciting deals with Wells Fargo and U.S. Bancorp for them to move their loan applications online.
Our founding team is very experienced and were early employees at Palantir — Our Head of Engineering was the 50th employee at Salesforce and we have members of our team who joined from companies like Google, Pinterest and Intuit.
Our product has a lot of impact. — Most Americans go through the mortgage approval process at some point in their lives. By making the experience simpler and less intimidating, we're democratizing access to capital and making it easier for lower income workers to get access to mortgages.

Large amounts of sensitive financial data — We're handling large amounts of sensitive financial data, it's really important that we do this reliably and securely, especially as we're collecting it from lots of different sources.

We're learning how to scale quickly — We're growing fast and scaling. Learning how to work on a system that's growing is a really valuable opportunity to learn a unique set of skills as an engineer.
