Role Description

iOS Senior Engineer

As a iOS Senior Engineer at Brain, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our iOS services, collaborating with a team of diverse engineers to bring a new, paradigm-shifting technology to market. In this position, you have the opportunity to act as a key contributor in our technology, and solve new and challenging problems each day. We are seeking a talented individual who can think critically, collaborate with others, and focus on co-creating our revolutionary product in a progressive startup setting.

How you’ll contribute to the vision:

  • Lead the design and implementation of new user-facing features in iOS.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers and engineers to develop product features.
  • Be the technical point of contact for mobile-related architecture and implementation.
  • Build and develop the core mobile infrastructure and tooling around the mobile frameworks.
  • Help drive and define mobile standards across all of Engineering by participating in code reviews, giving internal tech talks, etc.
  • Collaborate with product, UX, and other engineering teams to deliver the highest quality mobile experiences to all of our supported devices.
  • Provide guidance, technical leadership, and mentoring to other members of the team

What you’ll need know to succeed in this role:

  • Solid understanding of Swift; Objective-C would be a plus.
  • Have a deep technical understanding of Realm.
  • Have extensive knowledge of iOS performance tools and optimization techniques.
  • Have at least 5 years developing web and/or mobile applications with REST-based APIs.
  • Have clear communication and ability to understand the needs of our customers.
  • Empathy - you can clearly communicate your thoughts and opinions to others.
  • You are fearlessly self-driven.
  • You enjoy solving problems and helping others meet our goals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of experience as iOS engineer
  • Exposure to iOS testing with XCTest/KIF or EarlGrey
  • Knowledge of MVX architectures (MVC or MVVM or MVP ...)
  • Knowledge or prior exposure to Flutter
  • Can use Git, Github and other open source tools.
  • An eye for sleek design.
