There is one regularly scheduled meeting for engineers. It's a stand-up. Otherwise, each engineer chooses what they want to work on, and is encouraged to implement features across the stack. Someone who practices determined ownership will thrive in this team.

Technical Challenges

Determining the right course of treatment based on symptoms and medical history, our colleagues' medical judgment, and the medical literature
Building a messaging system robust enough for medical use
Designing a hierarchy of medical entity schemas to capture as much structured data as possible
Running a first-class app across 4+ platforms with maximal code reuse
Set up efficient advanced search for patients against their full medical records

Projects you might work on

Tackling one of the biggest barriers to healthcare access by creating a seamless and transparent billing experience for our patients, from the time of booking to insurance processing to payment collection.
Spearheading the efforts to externalize Carbon Health built services/API to other healthcare developers.
Architecting a scalable healthcare interoperability framework.
