We help Americans find the right Medicare, saving thousands of dollars and getting the health coverage they need.

Why join us?

  • Stellar team: founding team has a successful track record, having started and led multiple companies. Our team has a background in technology, healthcare, and financial services, having been in leadership roles at Palantir, Latch, Roivant Sciences (Founder/CEO), and McKinsey.

  • Tackling a massive societal problem — and opportunity. We want to fundamentally re-invent and improve the aging experience as people enter their third chapter of life. By 2030, there will be ~70 million Americans aged 65+, and they will be living 20% longer than their peers from only one generation earlier. While retiring individuals have given so much to the world, the world is falling short in giving back to them, and they face a set of imminent decisions around health insurance, financial security, and legacy planning that are extremely difficult to navigate.

  • Excellent investors: Our investors have backed transformative companies in areas core to Chapter's mission — healthcare, financial services, and insurance — including One Medical, Collective Health, Hims/Hers, Robinhood, Flexport, PolicyGenius, Brex, Twitch, and Newfront insurance.

Engineering team and processes

We are a small but might team of exceptional engineers from Palantir, TrialSpark, and high-growth startups.

Technical Challenges
  • We're building products for numerous stakeholders, including older Americans. As such, our products have to be designed for a different user base than most digital products, and our team must have exceptional positional empathy.
  • Integrating multiple data sources to better understand our existing —and target — users
  • Making traditionally bulky, legacy systems delightful to use. For example, there is currently no (or terrible) front end for people to engage with Medicare and Medicare-related insurance policies. We have to integrate with multiple insurance company's systems and improve the process for users.
  • There is relatively sparse information available about our target population (because of their digital habits) — we have to come up with novel ways to generate and structure data about our target users.
Projects you might work on

  • Best senior discount program

  • Data collection and structuring engine.
