Role Description

We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our growing team at Circa! This person will provide technical leadership in the strategic design and implementation of in-house information systems and networked software architecture. The goal of this person is to support core organizational functions and business requirements through technology, ensuring availability, stability, integrity, and efficiency; and to maximize the benefit of IT system investments. The Sr Systems Engineer will evaluate and select all technologies required to complete systems and software plans across the organization.

You are a quick learner, great communicator, and adaptable as technology, business needs, and pace change frequently. You can translate complex technical situations into digestible terms for end users. You’ve been hands on with business requirements analysis, core enterprise applications, networks, laptops, and operating systems. You have the principles and practices around information processing and data privacy down pat.

You have a bachelor’s degree in either Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Software Engineering, a related field, or equivalent work experience. You’ve also been in network and systems administration for organizations with +50 users for at least 5 years. You have proven success in system and network design and development. You have extensive application support experience with Windows Server, Hyper-V, Active Directory, Office 365, Exchange Server, Teams, Outlook, IIS, and SQL Server.

About the Position

You will oversee the company’s compute servers, laptops, databases, telecommunications, and network infrastructure. You’ll lead infrastructure projects, determine what computer systems we’ll invest in, and ensure they’re implemented appropriately. You’ll manage the network, data communications, and telecommunications systems for voice, data, and video.

Our Technology Team

• Implementing technologies to enable Circa team members to work from anywhere at anytime • Transitioning our core product technology to a containerized architecture • Utilizing a hybrid cloud solution to increase flexibility and cost control • Migrating internal services to cloud based solutions

Day in the Life

Most days will involve: o Troubleshooting and solving application problems o Leading infrastructure projects o Monitoring health of Circa’s infrastructure and applications o Supporting software engineers and helpdesk on issues related to connectivity or operating system o Overseeing the patching of Windows and Linux systems

On a more weekly or monthly basis you will: o Provide software engineers with guidance on ensuring security, connectivity, redundancy, and availability of deployed applications o Support product releases with configuration updates to DNS, firewall, network, load balancer, and web server components o Work with SR engineering members to develop and execute on evolving architecture initiatives o Evaluate and purchase computer hardware and software systems
