Role Description

Responsibilities: Webex Engineering team focuses on achieving an ideal balance between customer delight, innovation and developer experience. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Webex Application team, you will be empowered to have end-to-end ownership for your areas including contributing to micro-services, data analysis and telemetry coverage. You will partner closely across teams to help influence architecture based on data analytics. You will be responsible for mentoring early in career engineers who have a wide range of skills and experiences. - This position offers an opportunity to do highly visible work that deeply impacts Cisco's core business. You will have opportunity to learn about authentication protocols and standards, cross-platform development, API design, telemetry and customer focus. - Build and own analytics dashboards for all clients with the goal of building resilience and recovery telemetry to minimize disruption to the user experience in case of failure conditions (i.e. servers going down, connections dropping, etc.). Qualifications - Minimum 5-7 years of software development experience - Hands-on coding experience in Java and C++ - Experience with building micro-services, RESTful services is strongly desired - Experience in Python is strongly desired - Knowledge working with analytics platforms such as Splunk/Amplitude is required - Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular JS, React is a plus - Excellent collaboration and communication skills - Excellent problem solving and debugging skills - Masters/Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience. - Excellent collaboration and communication skills - Familiarity with agile development and ability to thrive in a fast-paced development environment
