Role Description

Lead frontend development on user-facing product features on the Citrine Platform.

Citrine is the artificial intelligence platform for materials and chemicals. Our platform ingests and understands large-scale data from countless sources, such as patents, research papers, technical reports, and existing databases, and uses state-of-the-art AI to anticipate the behavior of all materials and chemicals under any relevant conditions. Citrine is backed by top tier Silicon Valley venture capital firms including: Tencent, Innovation Endeavors, Data Collective, Prelude Ventures, AME Cloud Ventures, B&C Holdings, Morado Ventures, and XSeed Capital.

Being an early engineer at Citrine means you have the opportunity to have an outsized influence on the technology, culture and quality of the engineering organization. Work with top scientists in chemistry, physics and materials science to make your mark with technology that is changing how every physical product is designed, manufactured, and brought to market.

*Projects you’ll work on - Jupyter notebook integration facilitating an IDE-like materials informatics environment - Interface for empowering scientists with Citrine’s AI, guiding experimental design to accelerate discovery and lead to research breakthroughs. - Complex analysis & visualizations that allow our users to gain deeper insights into their data. - Build software supporting display and editing of the leading open-source format for materials data, the PIF: http://citrineinformatics.github.io/pif-documentation/index.html - Enterprise collaboration tools for materials researchers

  • What you’ll do
  • Design, own, and implement new and complex components for our next-gen website. At Citrine, developers take a central role in feature ownership.
  • Maintain and improve site capabilities
  • Collaborate with other engineers via frequent code review and architecture planning
  • Mentor other developers
  • Test & analyze the impact and performance of your software
