Civic Champs helps nonprofits manage volunteering, mentoring, and donations. We help them get back to what matters most so they can leave paper in the past. Using a mobile-first approach we help nonprofits and their volunteers record the data that is needed for large benefactors to see how they are making a difference. Also, we make it so they can tell their stories easily and in realtime.

  • Civic Champs grew in 2020 as it helped nonprofits make a difference and we expanded our offerings to support them even further, and this trend is continuing strongly through 2021.

  • Since starting in April of 2019, we have won or placed in multiple pitch competitions acquiring more than $300k in awards. We have also raised over $1M in total investment to date and are a Techstars portfolio company.

  • Mobile - mobile application features/enhancements with a focus on geolocation and reducing volunteering friction, messaging/SMS with volunteer coordinators, social media, and in-app content sharing. event discovery

  • Web Administration Tools - features/enhancements for volunteers and non-profits such as peer to peer tasks, analytics, group management, social media sharing, micro-donations, onboarding tools, and self signup

  • Business Development Tools - customer service functions and business insight - e-commerce and account management

  • Infrastructure (AWS) - testing and continuous deployment of multiple applications & clients - monitoring and analytics - dev ops

Diversity and Inclusion

We have weekly company meetings to give updates for all areas of the company. We also have buddy meetings where 2 people get paired together for a 15-minute get-to-know-you conversation, Ignite style talks about things we are passionate about, and company volunteering outings for local nonprofits.
