Role Description

Clever Real Estate is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our team.

We're particularly interested in candidates who show depth in either product design or application architecture.

The day-to-day work We're currently rebuilding our legacy WordPress site in Gatsby (a React framework static site generation). We deploy our Gatsby pages to S3 and use CloudFront to selectively route traffic to the new or legacy pages, based on what's been rebuilt. We'd like to accelerate our transition to a robust CI/CD pipeline that runs a comprehensive set of tests on every commit. We're very excited about candidates with DevOps or application architecture experience who could help us improve our build pipeline.

As we rebuild the legacy site, we're aiming to increase conversion rates by using well-designed components that can be reused throughout the site. To that end, we're very excited about candidates with experience in UI/UX design who can draw on design principles to level up how we build and use our component library.

Technologies / skills that could be helpful in this role

  • React (most important). Bonus points if you've worked with Gatsby or GraphQL
  • UI / UX design experience
  • DevOps knowledge (we're on AWS and make heavy use of CloudFront, Route 53, and S3. We plan to use CircleCI for CI/CD)
  • Testing React applications
