Mobile Engineer - Android

Clover is a Point of Sales system that processes millions of transactions daily. In the NYC office, we focus on helping our merchants develop closer relationships with their customers. In order to facilitate this, we develop and maintain several Android applications designed to run on our own custom hardware. This includes several applications used on a daily basis by merchants to attract and maintain their relationships with their customers, as well as applications utilizing specialized Android components which integrate with some of the primary functions of the Clover POS, such as the register and receipt printing.

You will work alongside a small team making mobile apps for the various devices in the Clover arsenal on both the customer and merchant side. Your responsibilities will be implementation of new product features, UX programming, internationalization, and performance improvements.

Requirements: - Strong Java knowledge. - Strong Android system knowledge. - Have experience building and publishing Android apps on your own or with a team - Experience with Android Studio and Android Layout Editor. - Ability to work independently

Ideally: - Experience building Android applications from the ground up. - Experience maintaining Android apps which must run on devices with different Android API levels. - Experience with Android bluetooth, location and storage libraries. - Experience with interprocess communication in Android. - Experience with Google Play developer console.
