Lead Kubernetes DevOps Engineer

A DevOps Engineer at Cogility Software will collaborate to design, configure, and build, product features and Kubernetes setup to support customers deploying, maintaining, monitoring and troubleshooting our products in the cloud and on-premise. This role will focus on automation, container orchestration, and security while working with our development teams to help introduce best practices across our organization. We focus on delivering industry leading technologies at the highest levels of scalability, performance and security. The Company Cogility Software is a leading data analytics technology provider focused on enhancing human and system performance by providing actionable intelligence in the most challenging and complex environments. Our Products Cogility has 2 primary products: Verus and Cogynt. Verus is the largest voice to text application in Amazon focused on law enforcement. Cogynt is an event processing system focused on deterministic, behavior analysis in real time. Applications of the products include insider threat, maritime cargo security, logistics, money laundering, fraud detection, distribution, and law enforcement investigation. What we need: • Must have a minimum of 4+ years of work experience in DevOps and Development roles with leadership experience • Be willing to lead a small DevOps team • Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience • Understanding and implementation of security and data protection • Must have sound proficiency in the following:

 Platforms: Linux/Unix, Windows, Mac  Cloud: Solid understanding of Amazon Web Services (AWS) including VPC, and others (Google and Azure knowledge preferred)  Networking: TCP/IP, Packet Analysis, Load Balancing, IP addressing, routing, subnetting  Scripting Languages: Bash, Python, Ruby, Perl  DevOps Lifecycle (CI/CD): Jenkins, CodePipeline, Git, CodeDeploy, CircleCI  Containerization: Kubernetes, Docker, AWS EKS  Data Platforms:  Relational - PostgresSQL (9.x and higher), MySQL, RDS, Aurora  Indexing: ElasticSearch (ELK), Elastic Cloud, Solr  Monitoring Platforms: Sumologic, Grafana, Splunk, Slack, Prometheus What we want: • Other preferred experience includes:  Languages: Elixir, Javascript, NodeJS  DevOps: Serverless (Lambda), knowledge of REST APIs  Data Platforms/Analytics: Kafka, Flink, AWS Kinesis, AWS EMR, Confluent, Spark Additional Requirements: • Must work from our Irvine office location • Must be able to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple assignments/ projects at once • Be able to communicate and work with people of all technical levels in a team environment • Be willing to take feedback and incorporate it into your work • Be willing to translate milestones into tasks and be accountable for their completion • Ability to deal positively with shifting priorities • Be willing to travel to client (on occasion)
