We think you should love your health insurance. Yes, we said love. Collective Health was founded to fix what's broken about the healthcare experience. We're starting by building products that help companies take better care of their people. Our first product is a complete health insurance solution for companies and their employees. We're rebuilding the health insurance infrastructure from the ground up, applying modern technologies and a consumer products approach to develop the tech stack for a better healthcare future.

Engineering at Collective Health

Technical Challenges

We've got a ton of interesting problems to solve around distributed systems, data analytics and predictions, system reliability, security, privacy, and more. For example:

  • Infrastructure challenges: We've been using microservices since day one, and we're currently building V2 of our microservices infrastructure

  • Building our own claim processing engine to accurately and quickly process insurance claims

  • Member data: we want to be the source of truth for member data. We thus need to ingest data across multiple sources, filter, and clean it to make a single source of truth that is correct and up-to-date.
