Engineering at collegebacker.com
Our entire CB team is extremely nimble, with engineering following a roughly two-week sprint cycle. Ahead of each sprint, engineers meet with product owners (often the CEO) and designers to define upcoming features and assign time estimates. Engineers typically work individually on a prioritized backlog of features and submit pull requests on GitHub to conduct code reviews, but they also play a key role in forming company strategy. Most team members are involved in testing, and all engineers are empowered to push code to production, which we often do multiple times a day.
• Building and maintaining a robust, scalable payments infrastructure • Creating beautiful frontend components to visualize investment performance • Executing, in a data-driven way, against a long roadmap of virality-enhancing social features • Maintaining and extending a suite of high-value admin/automation tasks • Upgrading our devops infrastructure to keep pace with rapid user growth • Building for iOS and Android targets with React Native
You'll get to own implementation of a beautiful v2 frontend design created by one of our investors, Daniel Scrivner, Apple alum and former head of design at Square.
