We are shaping the cannabis industry to be efficient, honest, and reliable by creating the software infrastructure necessary to both test and trade within it.

We empower producers to communicate their quality to sell more at higher prices. We enable retailers to rate their supply to make better purchasing decisions. We help consumers understand product ingredients to buy with confidence.

Engineering at Confident Cannabis

Engineering team and processes

We believe in high-velocity, full-stack engineering to deliver products quickly while maintaining amazing customer experience.

We build React + Typescript frontends, Django + Python backends, Terraform + AWS for infrastructure, and CircleCI for testing.

We want all developers to feel empowered and able to not just succeed, but to fail (graciously). You'll have the room to express your unique abilities and the support, communication, and collaboration channels to ensure you're always able to be as successful as possible.

Technical Challenges

1) We are laying the foundation for cannabis testing labs and businesses to thrive upon - in doing so, there's no dearth of problems needing to be solved. Many of our customers and clients have varying use cases, which requires us to think hard about how to build a product to service them well.

2) Cannabis laws vary state by state, we abstract these laws within our platform to be able to enforce them and protect our users throughout all of our products.

3) There is a lot of data about cannabis and not enough research about it. Analysis of the data is crucial to build a well-functioning legal industry.

4) With the data and the insights generated, we create models that advise our users to improve their products quality to sell more at higher prices.

Projects you might work on
  • You would be able to re-architect and re-imagine our entire lab testing infrastructure, apis (private and public), UI and UX.

  • You would be able to improve upon the first-generation of our cannabis wholesale solution to enable sellers to sell more faster and help buyers make better purchases!
