Engineering at ContentFly
We keep teams in small pockets of a handful of developers focusing on specific parts of the platform.
We work in two week sprints. Just before a sprint, usually on a Friday, there's a sprint planning meeting where developers can see whats coming up, provide estimates, flag any potential problems and discuss the current sprint. Once everyone is up to speed the new sprint begins on Monday. Developers choose what they want to work on. When they are finished they make a pull request on Github and add other developers to review the code. If any changes or QA fixes need to be done they are done on the same branch. Once everything is approved its merged and deployed.
We are a fully remote team and there are no hard-set working hours. As long as you are responsive and the sprint is moving along you can manage your day however you like. Take breaks, take a nap, go to the bank, got for a jog or do all of these one after the other.
Coming up on the horizon for us is being at the forefront of ai-content generation. We currently have a marketplace with writers that cater to our customers. We will enhance their skills with AI content creation to create a human + AI model that will help our customers get quality content at good prices very quickly and we will help our writers be more effective by giving them the latest AI-based tooling.
