What we are working on: we're on a mission to reinvent the calendar, the primary tool many of us use daily to manage our most valuable resource: time.
Unfortunately, calendars have become work-centric productivity tools and offer little to help us better our personal and social lives. And most social/media companies try to capture as much of our attention and time as possible, measuring
time spent using their services as a success metric. Sadly, this success is aligned with their interests, not ours. After leaving Facebook, it became clear to me that we needed to rethink social technology, focusing less on sharing and more on participating. The calendar felt like an unexpectedly perfect place to do it.
With Cue, we've combined the calendar with chat, groups, and discovery. We don't think it's enough to display when you're busy or available on a mostly empty grid. Cue transforms how people organize their lives, discover things to do, and make plans with friends.
We only hire world class operators who care immensely about product quality. We are a fun tight-knit group and highly effective. There are no remote workers here, as we put a high value on working closely and collaboratively. If you're indexing for work-life balance, remote and flexible hours, this isn't the place for you, unfortunately. The best way to think of Cue is to think about Apple or Tesla. People aren't here to rest and vest, free food, and easy schedules. People are here because they want to have impact, solve hard problems, grow as operators, be part of a world-class team, and build products that set the bar higher. We can do more with five people than most companies can do with fifty.
