You'll work with only senior engineers with 10+ years of experience.
You'll work in a small product-focussed team here at Delighted, but have the stability and backing of Qualtrics, the leader in enterprise experience management.
You'll work directly with the founders and founding engineers.
We have a simple process based around 1 week sprints. Projects are worked on by small teams, usually 1 designer and 1 engineer. Slack and GitHub are the core tools we use to collaborate. The designer will lead the process initially and work on flows and screens. Everyone on the project is involved in feedback and once a final design is found we move to implementation. Engineers work on git branches and can share progress with the team via staging environments. Once the feature is tested and code reviewed we ship to production.
- We send hundreds of millions of surveys and tracking their lifecycle (send, open, response etc.) is an interesting challenge that produces a lot of data. We use AWS Aurora as part of this system.
- Customers provide us with key/value metadata when sending surveys, and we need to store and index that in such a way that they can filter and search feedback on those values. We have some interesting approaches for aggregating, normalizing and formatting this data in Redis.
- Our JS web snippet is used on some very high traffic websites. We have to build it in a way that scales to a huge amount of traffic. We use some adaptive rate limiting strategies (both on the client and server) to help smooth traffic.
