Role Description

** Role Description ** D&B Connect is the flagship product at Dun & Bradstreet for providing data management services to our extensive customer base. D&B Connect is responsible for connecting customer and D&B data together and providing analytics and insights for solving business to business problems in the Sales, Marketing, Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Master Data spaces. D&B Connect is responsible for over a $100M in revenue and this is a unique chance for a junior engineer to play a pivotal role in a crucial team. We are looking for software engineers with a passion for data to join our team to help us build state-of-the-art Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions in the Cloud.

** Team Description ** D&B Connect is organized as 3 interlocking scrum teams working on interconnected projects using the Agile software development framework. We are developing modules to integrate with 3rd party data stores such as Salesforce CRM, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, and Adobe Marketo MAP. We are building batch and realtime data solutions and extensions to the main module. Finally, we are crafting data stewardship and management modules to allow customers to curate the best quality data to solve their business problems. The team is distributed across the US North East (Boston, Connecticut, and New York); Austin, Texas; and the San Francisco Bay Area; with supporting teams in Mexico City, Mexico and Beijing, China.

** Role Responsibilities** - Program and conduct code reviews in Java and Scala. - Build scalable RESTful and CRUD micro service APIs. - Define SQL and noSQL databases and create interfaces between the micro services, data pipelines, and the data storage layer. - Connect the API layer and micro services to the JavaScript React front end and back end data pipelines. - Design and develop big data pipelines, specifically for ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) and analytics applications. - Write MapReduce/Hadoop/Cascading/Flink/Spark-based massively parallel data processing jobs. - Collaborate with a highly cross-functional team of Product Managers, Project Managers, UX Designers, UI Software Engineers, DevOps, SysOps, Software Architects, and other Back End Engineers.
