Emburse
Emburse is a corporate credit card platform that generates virtual and physical credit cards with specific budget restrictions. We manage both traditional corporate card expenses like T&E as well as backend vendor payments.

Why join us?
We're building credit card services for thousands of existing clients via distribution through multiple leading expense brands.
Our small team consists of senior engineers from fast-growing tech companies with multiple years of experience work together.
Our infrastructure is optimized for simplicity in ways that enable fast product iteration and testable, maintainable software.
Engineering at Emburse
We have a small engineering team that syncs up every morning to discuss priorities and report progress on tasks managed through Trello. The code repository is hosted using GitHub. Pull requests are submitted for all code changes with a second contributor responsible for reviewing and merging in changes. At the end of each day, code from the master branch is deployed to a staging environment where unit tests are run. Manual QA is completed using the staging environment ahead of daily production deployments.
We regularly have to weave together interfaces that standardize integrations with multiple banking partners. Our microservices, aside from needing to be reliable, must respond to all requests within two seconds to authorize or decline credit card transactions.
We have new banking partners for whom integrations must be developed.
Our expense management partnerships are seeking deeper integrations have requested that we expose additional functionality through our API.
Working at Emburse
We value maintaining a sustainable work/life balance. Our infrastructure is purposefully simple to facilitate high-velocity software development. We regularly invest in cleaning up tech debt, simplifying interfaces, and writing unit tests.
