This role has an expectation of 24/7 availability, except when explicitly on holiday, sick time or exercising PTO. There is an on-call rotation and one will be expected to work during non- peak hours during incident and outages.
Post hoc incident investigations
Engages in remediation via tools and CLI for the aforementioned
Basic scripting, fixing bugs, running reports, automation and other duties as assigned, Bash, Shell, Python
Tune and monitor systems
System provisioning and product releases
Create and maintain software builds on multiple platforms -- Maintain the CI/CD toolchain for the engineering team
On call rotation – 24hr availability while on call, on call is on rotation with primary and secondary individual
Accountable for incident investigations
Accountable for post incident documentation
Provides high level technical synopsis, sharing technical details for incidents in Slack via #Team_operations
Communicating daily with engineers and non engineering resources. Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively.
Manages Sev3 incidents

Minimum of 3 years’ direct experience in a system admin role or scripting role using SQL, experience with Linux
Ability to codify logs, listening, teamwork, analysis, reasoning and problem solving, excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management, attention to details, Highly motivated, proactive individual
Experience with JIRA, scripting languages like Java and Python, basic accounting knowledge, programming, knowledge of enterprise-level applications preferred
