Engineering at Empower Finance
We are a small very experienced team. Everyone has a lot of responsibility, works independently to deliver on time, and chips in to help whenever anyone else on the team needs help. We do 1-2 development cycles per month. Engineers work together with design and product to spec a feature, then develop individually. We use Pull Requests on Github to conduct code reviews.
We make recommendations to help people improve their financial situation and custody their money. Performance, Security and the quality of data and recommendations are paramount. Additionally, have one of the highest rated consumer finance apps in the app store, the look, feel and performance of our applications are world class (and hence the native code bases).
Develop a credit model that can underwrite millennial borrowers independent of their credit score.
Develop and improve our AI assistant to make better recommendations to users on how to build wealth, save and improve credit.
Build and improve a referral growth loop that can increase organic user acquisition by 50%.
