Imagine a world in which every new piece of medical technology — every new chemo drug, pacemaker, Alzheimer’s therapy — gets in the hands of patients 30% faster. That’s the world we’re building. And we’re looking for people who are motivated by the idea of being a force multiplier across an industry, and thus having a small hand in every new exciting technology being developed over the next 10 years.

Enzyme is enabling the next generation of biomedical technology by automating FDA approval — think TurboTax but for FDA submissions. Our software allows our customers to get their products to market 30% faster, with less capital and less risk of getting denied by FDA. Our mission is to ensure that no product ever fails to succeed because of regulatory issues.

Why join us?

  • Working here means you're helping medical tech hit the market quicker — sometimes years quicker — and our customers are making exciting stuff — new ways of diagnosing breast cancer, digital therapeutics, and AI for medical imaging.

  • The founders have deep domain experience and a defined roadmap; no churn-inducing pivots here. We know what we need to build and what will create value.

  • We're already profitable. Since launching earlier this year we've grown revenue 4x.

Engineering at Enzyme

Engineering team and processes

We operate on a two week sprint using GitFlow. We ship frequently whenever new features, improvements, or bug fixes are ready. Our customers rely on us to provide the foundations of their quality system, so we practice what we preach and follow a rigorous development flow that efficiently and predictably delivers high quality software.

Technical Challenges

We are developing A.I. and NLP techniques to extract relevant data out of reports and reconstruct them into a narrative that feels like it was written by a person.

Integrating massive amounts of legacy data and displaying it in a performant way to an SPA.

Projects you might work on
  • Next Gen.

Gen 2.0 of our core product will require a migration of the WebApp to a contemporary tech-stack. You will be a part of defining this technical roadmap. React / Node.js / Microservices / Python / Java.

  • A.I. driven Analysis

You would be building models from thousands of thousands of pages of clinical trial data, to better understand what kinds of projects make it through the FDA without fail, and what kinds cause years and years of delays.

  • Mobile Applications

We plan to build mobile applications as companions of our core product. This is a greenfield opportunity to define the tech-stack and product direction. iOS & Android using React Native perhaps? You tell us!

Working at Enzyme

We believe in a culture of ownership and learning: seed-stage startups are nothing if not busy, but the value of working at one is that you'll learn at least 2x more here, and take ownership of more here, than you would at a larger company.
