Role Description

EveryoneSocial is growing very fast and we need an experienced Python API developer to join the team. We are cash flow positive and are looking to grow our customers and users significantly in the coming year. If you're interested in this role you should really understand scale and what it takes to implement APIs that scale. You should be excited about writing fast, test-driven, clean, and reusable code. We run on AWS using Serverless, Appsync, Lambda, DynamoDB, ElasticSearch. You should either have experience in this or have a good grasp of these concepts.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Be an amazing programmer. Our lambda functions are all written in Python. There is a lot of asynchronous processing that happens, you should understand these fundamentals.
  • Understand scaling data through nosql databases, elasticsearch and caching.
  • You're someone who appreciates autonomy. We don't like to hold hands, we like people to tell us what should be happening. We are looking for someone to set a high bar for quality and pace. We are a small startup and need to move fast. We are learning a lot every day and our best chance of further success is to build and react quickly.
  • Be understanding (aka familiar with what it means to be at an early-stage company). We work incredibly fast, and always will. As a result, there is technical debt, and decisions that made sense at the time but may not anymore. Are you cool with that? :-)
