TallyUp is developing a new type of gaming platform with the power to change lives.
Our core product concept has been successfully market tested in the past to be highly viral, set to launch in 2019,
Our team is led by a tier 1 team from Google, Microsoft, EA, YouTube etc... And backed by some of the top investors in the gaming space.
What we are building is not only great business, but it has the potential to change the lives of not just its users - but drive meaningful positive impact for the world.
Currently the structure of our engineering team is flat. Area experts are empowered to make independent decisions about how best to build their features while also encouraged to ask for advice from the rest of the team if they desire a second opinion. The whole stack is very small and there is ample opportunity for members of the engineering team to break into areas of personal interest to them.
Our engineering team uses an Agile development processes with two week sprint cycles. Beginning on Tuesdays, each cycle begins with a sprint planning for the team to discuss the different features and user stories to tackle in the upcoming sprint. While test driven development is not strictly enforced, it is encouraged and there is an existing set of full stack tests that should be maintained for quality assurance. We maintain a three stack structure – a local environment, a sandbox/staging environment, and a production environment. Team members are encouraged to use the first two environments for personal feature testing, while the entire team engages in bi-weekly manual testing sessions for additional QA on production.
We're building a system for serious scale, security and fun - all in one box. The games and products on the front end need to be responsive and kept error free on multiple platforms. The back end needs to deal with money and thousands of micro transactions, and needs to be built for security and scale that the platform will achieve.
Build and manage backend database & web services development to support a high scale, real time gaming environment with frequent financial transactions and real cash payments to winning players
Create data models and structures to support large scale application data storage for a combination of sensitive and non-sensitive information.
Distill high-level product requirements into technical recommendations (stacks, infrastructure, services) and take end-to-end ownership over the application architecture for web project.
We are a curious group of fun-loving, dynamic individuals who work hard, are committed to delivering best-in-class products, and enjoy a warm, friendly, and supportive team environment.
