Active Roles

Why join us?

  • We're a b2b SaaS early-stage startup that received pre-seed funding without a single slide in place! We are currently building our first product which will soon deploy to very excited clients across geographies. We are funded by Picus Capital, and have strong relations with other leading global VCs.

  • Our core team comprises alumni from MIT, Stanford, UCL, McKinsey, and Amazon. Ours is a small engineering team that is growing quickly, where each member's contribution matters immensely and impacts product development directly. We are looking to be joined by passionate self-starters who can grow into future leaders of FactWise!

  • Our products target a market that has so far been abandoned and we currently have no known competitors globally. Couple this with our funding status, investor relations, strengths-based and growth-oriented culture, impressive leadership, and unique value propositions, and you'll see how we're poised for tremendous success!

Engineering at FactWise

Engineering team and processes

Our team runs periodic sprints, and comprises front end developers, back end developers, product managers, and UI/UX designers. The team meets together to conceptually understand new modules and features and agree on key requirements. All individuals are encouraged to improve features with their own ideas.
Once we start development, product managers continue to detail requirements and edge cases, and work with developers and designers to ensure that all the individual components fit together seamlessly. Ours is a joint ownership model where everyone understands the product, suggests improvements and continually refines the quality of the product.

Technical Challenges
  1. Ingesting large quantities of structured and unstructured client data
  2. Optimizing query patterns for retrieving and updating scores of linked data sources at once
  3. Architecting software components and data models to match business use cases
  4. Developing available, performant and scalable web services
  5. Deploying the software infrastructure on the cloud and leveraging available cloud technologies to accelerate product development
Projects you might work on
  • Building a recommendation engine that correlates several unlinked data sources, and uses ML insights to provide strategy recommendations

  • Creating a module that enables highly customizable and unstructured proposal requests, while retaining the ability to parse and interpret proposals using a combination of NLP and well-designed structural logic

  • Designing the infrastructure for an analytics module that allows customizable dashboards and insights spanning several modules

Working at FactWise

We value passion, dedication, initiative, adaptability, and openness. We foster a culture of striving for excellence, and are driven by a passion to build elegant solutions for complex challenges. We believe that FactWise as a collective grows and succeeds as the individuals that comprise it grow and succeed, and work to create and maintain a culture of trust, authenticity, support, healthy debate, accountability, holistic feedback, and having fun! Work-life balance, hobbies, interests are encouraged, and regardless of position, each team member has a voice and expresses themself.

Diversity and Inclusion

We are currently focused on growing our team and meeting recruiting targets, so that we can meet product development targets. We are at 38% minority representation within the team; our small team is growing quickly, and we are working hard to close the gap. When selecting between candidates displaying similar levels of technical proficiency and suitability in terms of fit, we prioritise the person from the relatively underrepresented background. The HR team efforts to source candidates via platforms and forums focused on opportunities for individuals from underrepresented communities.

Our HR policies support our ethos of inclusion: - prioritising fit over technicals - conversations and sessions to better understand intersectionality, and how unconscious biases impact the ways in which we interface with others - gender neutral washrooms - prioritising office locations that are accessible - 'wellness leave' that in its purview includes physical and mental health days, menstrual leave, etc - maternal + paternal leave

At the moment, this is a work in progress.
