Software Engineer

About the Role

As our Software Engineer, you will work alongside a brilliant technical team across building data pipelines to pull millions of trend and demand data-points from across the web, making sense of the data we collect by brainstorming and implementing new architectures, enhancing the scalability and efficiency of our machine learning systems, implementing slick new designs for our website at each new drop & creating novel text-messaging interfaces to communicate with our FINESSERs.

About You

You’ve always enjoyed working across different disciplines on the entire stack. You are passionate about both the front-end and the back-end - about both building the sickest interfaces for our customers and about architecting fast and scalable data systems that power our company at its foundation. You are versatile across the tech stack and able to pick up new skills and jump in wherever needed. You know when and how to ask for help but love a good challenge and getting yourself unstuck with creative solutions. You test your own code and create systems that help your team work together and deploy code efficiently and safely. You are always seeking to learn new techniques and technologies to develop better software. Above all, you’re excited to build something from the ground up that will touch the lives of millions of people worldwide.

Recommended Background

• Full-stack web development experience, ideally with ReactJS/ReactNative Node, where you have built and deployed production-level systems
• Built pipelines to gather and parse messy data from the web
• Built ETL pipelines for analytics and machine learning tasks
• Architected and maintained systems for big data storage and retrieval
• Designed and implemented production deployments on AWS
• Knowledge of React, Node, AWS, Docker, Postgres, Hadoop
