Foxpass helps technology companies improve their infrastructure security with its SaaS-based SSH-key hosting, LDAP, and RADIUS products. These services make it easy to have per-user logins to Linux machines, VPNs, and WiFi networks. This offers companies a simple way to enact industry best-practices: limiting users' access to only those servers and resources that are necessary, allowing temporary access when needed, providing audit logs, and enforcing SSH key rotation policies. Additionally, the system is backed by an employee's existing Google Apps, Okta, or OneLogin identity.

Engineering at Foxpass
We have 7 engineers. Our processes are quite lightweight; we're very quick to add features and fix bugs. We use Asana, Github, Docker, plus the editor of your choice.
Our service is mission-critical to our customers so uptime is extremely important. At the same time, our software handles tens of thousands of simultaneous connections so we must write high-performance software as well. And since we're a security company, we must be vigilant that we don't introduce any vulnerabilities.
Cache, cache, cache! Keep what we can in memory to improve performance and resiliency in case of any database issues.
Pre-fetch hot data — we can learn at exactly what times our customers hit our services, and we should have the data ready for them instead of making a round-trip to get it.
Self-healing — how can we make a system so resilient that it heals itself?
