At Gradient, we are building sophisticated technology to transform how brands grow on ecommerce channels. We use data and machine learning to ensure our customers’ brands are well-represented, discovered, and purchased. In turn, we drive material sales and profitability for brands that they cannot achieve elsewhere.

Engineering team and processes

Our team is small enough that our engineering structures are still being formed, and we welcome new ideas from each engineering hire. Currently we are operating on a two-week sprint cycle. We have a grooming meeting every-other Wednesday followed by sprint planning on Friday. We do pull requests with code reviews, and expect a reasonable level of tests where appropriate.

Technical Challenges

We're building a system to ingest millions of data points each day and creating machine learning models to draw unique insights from the data.

Projects you might work on
  • You would own the customer-facing front end web portal. The system is a custom dashboard with data visualizations and insights.

  • You would own the backend server and API. This includes designing a scalable API architecture and building out the database connections (python + postgres)
