We are helping connect the medical world. We process data on healthcare providers, pharma companies, drugs, research, etc - and help make this accessible and understandable to people in the medical world that need it most through our web and mobile apps.
Our belief is that good technology, applied thoughtfully, can greatly increase the productivity of the medical world - and ultimately lead to a healthier global population.

We treat everyone like adults, take as much vacation as you want, come to the office when you want, just get your work done.
Nice people only! H1 is not a place for big egos or politics.
We value being ourselves, being respectful of our coworkers, and doing amazing work.
We have three engineering teams: - Product Engineering - Data Engineering - Data Science
We have daily stand-ups and are on bi-weekly sprints. We use continuous integration with automated unit & end-to-end testing. We do code-reviews (and learn a lot from each other because of it!)
Our app is used by people throughout the medical world. The improvements you push will have a direct impact on the productivity of doctors, researchers, hospitals, and many other people that contribute to our day to day well being.
On the data side, we deal with a pretty massive dataset. We process 2+ billion rows of healthcare data which then flows into our application. The number of sources and data we need to process, write models for, and then present to our users grows each week.
As our dataset grows, so does the impact of shipping good UI, flexible API's, and strong ML.
Create a news feed that gives our users an on-going picture of the treatment and research around any topic, for example Corona virus.
Build a model that can score the relevancy of 50,000 oncologists, and have that score change dynamically as a user types in
Create a graph API that allows our users to access any part of H1's medical graph.
We care about improving the global population's health. The skills each of us brings to H1, or learns at H1 are our tools to reach this goal.
We all have different strengths and experiences - and that is why H1 seeks smart, diverse, ambitious, and ego-free people.
... and while working to help people may be a serious endeavor, we're actually a pretty lighthearted and goofy group of people.
Take whatever vacations you want
Bring your dog or whoever to the office
A lot of our team is remote. A lot of our team often works from home.
We evaluate based on outcomes, not how long you're in an office's chair.
We have a remote-friendly culture. Several of us are distributed throughout the US and work 100% remote. Others choose to work remote when they feel it'll make them more productive. We don't have a set work from home policy, or require you to post to some slack channel that you'll be remote - we just trust you.
