Role Description

tldr:
We're a startup helping the medical industry, 2 yrs old, $3M ARR, 500% YoY growth. We're looking for a senior back-end engineer to join our tiny (2 person) product engineering team. You will be instrumental in setting engineering process, architecture, and all the other fun things that come with being one of the earliest engineers at a company with rapidly growing revenue.

Our current back-end is Node.js, GraphQL, PostGRES, ElasticSearch, nicely containerized with Docker, running on AWS. We support users internationally 24/7, and we currently deal with 2 billion+ rows of medical data that flow through our app and need to be queried against - and that number is rapidly growing.

Company stats:

  • 2 years old
  • $3M ARR
  • 500%YoY growth from 2019-2020, so far on track to do that again in 2020
  • SF / NYC / remote
  • Core team is ~15 people
  • Just closed Series A ~$12M early March 2020.

About the company:

We're helping connect the medical world. We process data on healthcare providers, pharma companies, drugs, publications, clinical trials, outcomes, etc - and make this accessible and understandable to the people in the medical world that need it most.

Our belief is that good technology, applied thoughtfully, can greatly increase the productivity of the medical world - and ultimately lead to a healthier global population.
