Engineering team and processes

We operate in 1 week sprints. We have a meeting on Thursday afternoons to plan out and prioritize stories for the next week and evaluate any work rolls over from the current week. We use CI to run unit tests, integration tests, and front-end tests. We deploy daily. We do code reviews using Github and lint our code using CodeClimate.

Technical Challenges

Major errors and mistakes are not acceptable when dealing with large amounts of other people's money. We are required to design a robust, stable, and compliant platform. Thorough automated and manual testing is paramount to our process, and shipping fixes in a matter of minutes or hours instead of days is important to our commitment to our customers.

Projects you might work on
  • You would take your time to get intimately familiar with our codebase and business logic by doing small projects and tasks.

  • You would design a job queue and migrate our cron jobs to this new service.

  • You would spearhead and manage our project to become our own payment facilitator for credit cards, directly integrating with a company like First Data.
