Engineering team and processes

We operate on fast weekly sprints where we prototype and evaluate new machine learning algorithms. Engineers work extremely closely with researchers generally around the following areas:

  • improving R&D infrastructure, including:
    • multi-cloud Kubernetes clusters with many machines
    • custom fair job scheduling systems
  • processing and managing our datasets in the cloud
  • improving software abstractions for training models with different prediction semantics with minimal code changes
Technical Challenges

We're solving the fundamental open problem of robust machine perception. We are pushing forward the state of the art in machine learning at the intersection of classical robust statistics and modern deep learning.

Projects you might work on
  • A fair job scheduler for large-scale neural network experiments in the cloud that is now used daily by the entire company for all experiments, data processing pipeline runs, and neural net training.
