Engineering at HomeCapital

Engineering team and processes

Our team operates on one week deploy cycles. Every week, a list of engineering tasks are created and scheduled. These are then pushed to staging, the code is scanned by sonar, test cases are encouraged but not a showstopper. Once checked and signed off, the code is pushed to production.

Diversity and Inclusion

The tech team is 40% women, and this gender ratio was 0% a couple of years back. When it comes to a work-life balance, we believe a family first approach is best. A person can only work if their loved ones are happy and well taken care of. In the remote paradigm, this is all the more so.

We have strict POSH guidelines, everyone operates from the same set of workspaces without any specific hierarchies ... no one gets the corner office. There are plenty of corner seats though :-). Team outings and dinners were a regular thing pre-pandemic, we do hope to continue this.

This is a non-issue. The progress of an individual within the organization has got nothing to do with what background they come from. What matters is the outcomes they achieve and how.
