Engineering at Impulse Gear
Our engineering team is made up exclusively of senior level engineers. We expect our engineers to manage all of their task planning, technical design, and requirements gathering. Based on the current task at hand, engineers will collaborate with artists, designers, and other engineers to design and develop new features.
Virtual Reality brings many technical challenges. The most concrete example is that we need to render the scene twice (once per eye) and at twice the framerate of traditional games. Virtual Reality also brings many opportunities for new ways to interact with the world. Virtual Reality games are typically played with tracked controllers, allowing you to interact with your environment in a natural way. This opens up new technical challenges as we explore fun new ways to manipulate and interact with objects in the game world.
